Steve Henderson grew up in a small town in Western Massachusetts
graduating from high school in one of those decades where bell bottoms were tops
in fashion. He then studied drama at Syracuse University, speech at the University of
Massachusetts, something distantly related to corporate welfare at Elms College
and finally graduated from Baystate Medical Center School of Nursing (now defunct)
proving himself not necessarily persevering but certainly eclectic.
Steve now owns Comedy for the Ages and Steve
Henderson Entertainment, making a living by living his dream as a writer,
comedian and actor for audiences nationwide.

Steve’s acting credentials include over seventy productions at numerous venues. His favorite roles include Colonel Jessup in A Few Good Men, the Grave Digger in Hamlet both with The Theater Project at the Majestic in West Springfield, CJ in Defying Gravity for Mount Holyoke Summer Theater and characters too numerous to mention with Disturbed Theatre (Steve is a writer, performer and co-founder for DT) at venues across New England and in NYC.
His teaching / coaching experiences include work with Steve Hays (founder of Stage West) at the Drama Studio in Springfield and the Hampshire Shakespeare Company’s summer workshops as well coaching their Young Company in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Amherst. Steve has won several awards for playwriting over the years, most recently a Robert Lehan Award for One Act Plays (Morse Code – 2004). His stories about an elderly man’s experiences have been published in a national nursing magazine.
Steve would like to thank his three terrific kids Orion, Keli and Sara for making life interesting and all of his family for putting up with him for an unspecified number of years.
